Are you taking Meclizine? That is what I take for my vertigo and it does make me tired. I hope you are feeling better. docsgirl

@Luvsmyfam Are drinking water or maybe some gatorade to make sure you are not dehydrated. I have a similar problem of getting lightheaded/dizzy and feel exhausted and found out I am usually dehydrated so I drink as much as I can and it works. You can also try pedialyte that helps me as well with water. I hope you feel better soon, I know how it feels to have that dizzy feeling.

@Luvsmyfam This time of year, with all the pollen, I get dizziness and it usually turns in to vertigo. Yesterday, it was just dizziness today it is vertigo.
If this may be your problem, there is an over the counter remedy that you can get without a prescription. It is called Bonair. Walgreen has their own brand and it is called "Motion
Sickness Relief". It is Meclizine as another poster@docsgirl recommended.
If you have vertigo, there are exercises online to help.
Last year, I had it so bad for a week and the medication did not help. I did the exercises a few times and it did help.
I hope that you find relief, it is annoying.

I also had vertigo last year. It started in August and finally ended in early December. I would get it for several days then it would stop for a day or two then start again.
Sometimes it was so bad I felt like I was going to faint. I tried the Epley maneuver several times and it finally worked and helped. lot! I had noticed that when I was lying down on my left side the vertigo would go away which told me it probably had to do with the crystals in my inner ear not in place.

Did you read the side effects of this prescription, and possible cross interactions with other medications you are taking?
Would be a smart idea to check with your PCP/Prescribing Doctor, or your Pharmacist.
All of my Doctors tell me the possible side effects when they write me a prescription for a new medication. They all have the current list of the medications I presently taking.

@Luvsmyfam Since you put this on a public forum you must be open to questions. You say you got a script from your Dr. Did he/she see you in person? Did you have blood work done? There are many reasons for your dizziness and you said it's happened before. Are you also taking a blood pressure med or an anxiety med? If so they could be interacting or even causing your symptoms. You should take the time for a complete physical. I hope you feel better. I don't expect you to answer... I just wanted to give you my thoughts.

@Luvsmyfam I. Hope that you take the time to read and think about the responses from @hckynutjohn and @simplyfriends! They have given you sound advice -- and not "hot tips." This is a matter that should be addressed by the physician who prescribed the medication, the person who has many years of medical training and is responsible for your care. Your issue may be more complex than it appears and a bunch of strangers from across the country are not in a position to give you sound medical advice. In fact, some of the advice may be contraindicated in your case. I hope for the best professional resolution or explanation for your side effects and that you feel better soon!
