Well I had my jaw surgery.  It was a very long surgery. I will probably be going home tomorrow. My jaw has to stay wired until they put the joints in which will be in June. I don't know how I am going to not lose any weight. Right now I haven't taken any pain meds except children's liquid IB.

I'm glad to hear you have that surgery behind you now.  Good luck with the healing.

First surgery is over. Have to have the joints put in June.  Living with my jaw wired for two months is going to be so hard.

Lots and lots of chocolate malts should help you keep some weight on while you are recuperating.  Hope you recover as quickly as possible.  Thanks for checking in.  I was wondering about you🙂

Wow.  Good luck and best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery for this first phase.

I would imagine you will lose weight, whether you want or not.  I hope to hear about your progress and the progress of the new house.Heart

I've been thinking about you, @ccassaday.   Thanks for checking in!  Continuing prayers, and here's a gentle hug for you.

So glad to hear your first surgery is over and will continue to send prayers for a speedy recovery. I agree with another poster who suggested drinking milkshakes. Take care of yourself!

@ccassaday, so glad that part one is over!  If you're thin, I guess two months can be a problem for you as far as weight is concerned.  There are nutritional liquid drinks that you can drink.  Protein shakes?  Oh, boy.

Glad you came thru the surgery and are doing well...you will probably lose a little weight but I know my husband could survive on chocolate shakes for quite a while!
