DH has been advised by a corneal specialist that wants him to have this procedure, 

Superficial Keratectomy

in his left eye only.

We have not decided if it is worth the misery yet.

Do you know anything about this or anyone who has had it?

He had cataract removal on this eye last month.

No, the cataract removal did not cause this condition.

the cataracts were found by his retinal specialist

the cataract removal place let us know of his corneal unevenness up front before his first eye surgery 

I’m not sure of the answers to any of your questions!

have not heard of map dot dystrophy, but he can ask his retinal specialist that when he calls him, thanks
