I am home, resting, after a short stay in the hospital.

I am writing this because I feel so strongly about getting a stress test, now.

To begin with, I went to the Dr. with my DH for his stress test- he is 10 yrs. older than me and passed with flying colors! I was thrilled. So the Dr. says to me "When was your last stress test?" 2005--He recommended one now. So I took the 1st one-7 minutes on the treadmill, I failed. This test is just an indicator, so Dr. says "Now you need the nuclear stress test, it is usually pretty definative." So I had that, I failed-big.

The next step is a heart catherization-which I had. I had 2 blockages, both 85% in one artery-they call this artery "the widow(widower)maker". The Dr. placed a stent-and I am doing great.

My main reason for this post is, I had no symptoms of any problem-no shortness of breath, no chest pains, no symptoms.

Please! If you can, get this test if you are 55 or older- I might have never known I had a problem until it was too late.
