@Susan Louise  @River Song.I appreciate your input. I had actually read about thrush earlier.  The only white spot in my throat came up yesterday.  I have no symptoms of thrush.  It is flat and white, not like cottage cheese and nowhere else in my mouth.  I would be very surprised if that's what it was.

I do not smoke or have dentures.

@NickNack   I'm kind of thinking allergies.  I have drainage and a sore throat often from the draining.  Didn't know I had so many allergies until I went and was tested after breathing issue.

Since you said you have acid reflux the combination of allergy drainage and reflux could be the culprit.  Your ENT will point you in the right direction.

Best of luck to you.  It is frustrating to have problems without knowing how to fix them.  Hope you find your solution soon.

@NickNack @I'm surprised the doctor is not trying a different antibiotic before she sends you to the ENT. Augmentin (Amoxicillin)? The rapid strep test could have been wrong.

I think after 5 weeks of trying to diagnose the problem, it is time to make the ENT referral.

@BeccaLou   I've had two covid tests--the 15 minute test and one that was sent out.  Both were negative.  Also, Covid doesn't last this long.
