Sorry to hear about your illness. I've had the shot since I saw my grandmother suffer with shingles. It's nothing to sneeze at. I had a middle-aged coworker who spent a week in the hospital due to shingles.

I can't believe you just posted this. I hope you never get shingles...it's the worse pain you'll ever have. But, if you do think back on your mean, rude words directed to a person who never did you any harm.

I have had them also on the right side of my scalp.Not fun.Have since had the vaccine.

My Mother had them and she has had post pain in her lower jaw for almost 3 years now.

John....I thought that if you went to doctor within first few days that you would be given a steroid injection. Was this discussed or did you go too late? From your post, it seems that you are just waiting it out. My family doctor suggested that I get the vaccine to be on the safe side. I've never had chicken pox, but he said I likely had antibodies anyway.

Noticed you're in Nebraska.....have you seen movie of same name? I just watched it yesterday.
