A local news story this evening interviewed people who went to a invite only very large covid vaccination event. Everyone reported the event went smoothly except for one lady who complained that the parking lot was dirty and there was a smell inside the building and she stated they could have done much better than that. She was very unhappy. The building they showed was some sort of civic center and from seeing the inside on TV, it appeared to be ok, people were sitting at tables, masks on etc. My feeling is that she went to get a vaccine that can save her life and for a few minutes of her time, what difference does it make that the parking lot was dirty and there was a smell in the building ? I think she should have gone back home and waited to see if they call her again soon to get the vaccine or if she has to wait another 2 months or more before she gets it

@Goodie2shoes. Perhaps she didn't feel well or was upset about something else. They should have given her her shot and sent her on her way. Maybe she thought disrupting the process would move her to the head of the line.

She got her shot, they interviewed her afterwards and that's when she voiced her complaint. She should have been grateful that she got it because so many others are still waiting.

What is an invite only Covid vaccination event? Do you mean appointment only?

You only have to read these boards to know that.

Perhaps she is agoraphobic. Was the woman interviewed by a doctor?

We had one of those events at an event center yesterday in my fair city. They gave 2,000 shots of vaccine. People who were there said it went smooth as silk. It was appointment only.

If there was a smell inside the building it could very well be an indication of an unsanitary condition that could potentially cause concern. Some people are very sensitive to these things. And with the ongoing stress for cleanliness perhaps her comments were a cautionary tale.
