Re: Softwave/Shockwave/Therapy

@theresa ...He acknowledged that the shots were not working and that he should try massage therapy, as well as have a consult at the pain clinic at the hospital.  All the orthopedic doctor did was push the shots and had no other advice.

My husband has had two massages and like his PCP said she also said his hip and back are very tight...possibly from overcompensating for the original pain in his hip area.  Ortho really did not seem to care or at least did not acknowledge that their course of care was not working.

The massages are helping..which I told him to try months ago...he did not listen to me.  We are now waiting for the pain clinic to return a call, we are playing phone tag.  If the pain clinic can get him over the hump until his back loosens up I am all for it.

My DH is 85 years old and his doctor told him if he was not sitting in his office he would assume he was roughly 60ish years old according to his x-ray and his lab results..he is very healthy..for which we are very thankful.

Good luck to you, I hope you get some relief.
