I'm 80 and have been taking low dose zolpidem for a few years because it works. Nothing else works for me. I have no side effects, but I sometimes wake up during night and have a hard time falling back to sleep. Don't know if I'm addicted, but PCP says he doesn't care if I'm addicted or not at my age. Our brains tend to work overtime with worries as we age, so relaxing and getting a good night's sleep are important.

Hi! @Mom2Dogs 🤗

Is your husband feeling better and noticing a difference with his ears?

Up until seeing your post I had never known of anyone going through something so similar to me. 😔

Tell him to keep thinking positive. It will all go away one day and he’ll be back to feeling like himself again!! 🤗🤗🤗

@RescueLover.  My husband is feeling a bit better, ears are still plugged,  but seems a bit less antsy.  He is using the air purifier at night in the bedroom.

He did have a hearing test thinking hearing aids would help him but the doctor put hearing aids in his ears according to his level of hearing loss - which is not a lot and my husband did not notice enough difference to warrant hearing aids.

The doctor was very honest, which we appreciated.

Our weather is going to change next week with rain in the forcast...maybe that will him.  The doctor thought 'maybe' there is an issue with the tubes in his ears, but that was a guess on his part.

Thanks for asking.

Oh that’s good to hear! @Mom2Dogs

It might take time, but eventually his ears won’t feel plugged. The air purifier is definitely a good thing for anyone with allergies. If you read reviews on them people only good things to say about them.

I was told the hearing tests ( I had 2 tests - one with each ENT) would tell if there were any issues with the tubes in my ears. I passed by tests with flying colors.

Both ENT’s even did a scope up my nose that wasn’t pleasant, and they didn’t show any blockages. Everything is connected is what they told me. Maybe your husband had that done too?

And forget any over the counter allergy meds they did absolutely nothing for my plugged ears. And believe me I tried quite a few!

I’m continuing to think only positive thoughts for your husband! 🤗🤗🤗
