@hckynut My shoulders have been aching a lot lately as have DH's. I have added some new arm stretches recently. I think we have been less active. More so than usual since we are in the orange and red here in Indiana due to Covid. It has seemed odd to us both that we are having exactly the same problem???
Same thing for me happened after heart surgery. They had me doing stretching first.
Thanks, John. It does make sense to me. I just told DH what you said and he thinks so, too. We'll give it a go!

@SilleeMee might have an answer for you, so I've tagged her name. Otherwise, she might not see your question.

Another bamboo extract powder you might consider is made by MicroIngredients. The differences are the higher price and it's certified organic. Otherwise it's identical to the BS powder. I paid around $28 for 500g bag of the BS brand back in June of this year and it's not organic. The MI brand comes in one size, 227g, for $22. As you can see that is a significant difference in price (nearly double) but it's organic. So if having an organic product is important to you then you might consider the MI brand instead and it's available right now. The bag will last you for a very long time. Serving size is only 600mg. That amount is not critical. I take around 500mg.

@SilleeMee , thanks for the heads up about the bulksupplements version being back in stock in smaller sizes.
I think I'm going to get the organic one, though, because it's just a few bucks more than the 8.8 oz of bulksupplements, and they seem to include a scoop. Getting over a year of doses for about $22 seems good to me.
Can you please weigh in on this advice someone gave in an answer to a question of what percentage of the bulksupplements product is orthosilic acid, and whether this addition of something acidic to the powder is needed for maximum bioavailability? My hair, skin, nails, and bones thank you in advance:
"To create orthosilicic acid you need to add water, and an acid to it. apple cider vinegar, lemon or lime juice and you can also add a vitamin c product. The best most stable vitamin C source is Alma Berry. Add 3/8 to 1/2 tsp of bamboo powder to 2 ounces of clean water, add 2 to 3 tsp of lemon or lime juice or apple cider vinegar, then add 1/2 tsp alma berry powder to create orthosilicic acid. This is what the body now can use to remineralize itself over time. It will be tart! I hope this helps answer the question posed."

Many supplements, not all of them, absorb easier when taken with food or with the addition of vitamin C. Some supps even come with the added vitamin C for you....many people think it's there for the benefits of the vit C but really the vit C is there to help the other stuff absorb easier. Acidity in the gut aids in digestion. It helps break things down into smaller molecules so those get used (bioavailability). What I do is add about a 1/4-teaspoon (level) of pure vitamin C powder to my green drink every day. That helps the nutrients absorb better (micronutrients).

I've been taking the Bulksupplements brand for years. My success story is based on that particular item. If you want organic then go with the Microingredients brand...those two brands of silica powder are basically the same except for the organic part.

The Bulksupplements bamboo extract doesn't have any discernible flavor. I'm almost certain the Microingredients brand is the same b/c that one is essentially the same type of product.

SilleeMee, I guess I should of explained this better. On the Bulksupplements of the Bamboo Extract there is a 100 grams and a 250 grams. I thought the 250 was a stronger strength or double of the 100 grams. Both can be ordered in different size bags. Not sure which one to take.
