Thank you all for more replies, I am the original poster, and would like to post update. As it turns out, it wasn't the Hair supplement. I stopped all my meds for 2 weeks and then gradually reintroduced each one to try to find culprit. The problem came and went periodically. When I did resume everything, I spaced them out throughout day , so maybe that helped. I am not taking much , just red yeast rice, fish oil, multivits, calcium and hair vitamins. I never had stomach problem, just lower GI . I think I may have had an intestinal virus of some sort. Could be my system got used to them all. I had also started fish oil and red yeast rice a few weeks before hair vitamins ,so not sure. Anyway, glad to be back on hair vitamins as nails are better, and am seeing some hair sproats. By the way, I received excellent customer service when I contacted vitamin company. Thank you all for your advice! Susic

Do they have magnesium? For some people, that's like taking milk of magnesia.

If you take these types of supplements, you should always take them with good probiotics. If not, you are begging for GI distress, stomach and intestinal issues. It is the nature of the beast in many people. Always take them after a full meal as well. Don't take them with caffeine or soda's. Take them as early in the day as possible, never before lying down or sleeping.
If necessary, only take them every other day. You'll benefit the same by alternating the days.

It is important to take any and all supplements with food in the stomach. This makes them absorb better, and usually prevents stomach upsets. I used to take Biotin, but decided it did nothing, so quit.

I never swallow the gel coat on any vit. I bite them and swallow whole.
The gel coat is what made me sick.

I always take mine after dinner, so far so good.

I don't want to scare you but as a care giver and wife of a double cancer patient - my husband, if I were you I would be making an apt with your PCP to get a colonoscopy scheduled ASAP. If you're having lower GI problems - and perhaps have been having problems for awhile, you NEED to get this checked out immediately.
