A few years ago I had both of my knees replaced at the same time.

I bought a shower stool but never used it much. It still sits in the shower but I rest stuff on it.  It is perfect to sit on in the shower if you want to.  I'll try to find it.

You can buy a Drive Medical shower chair for $32 from Amazon. Medicare will pay for a basic walker. If the patient is being treated by a physical therapist, ask about the cost of a chair. You can ask your doctor.

I use a shower bench with an arm on one side because my legs are weak and I need the arm to get up.

It's a Carex tub transfer bench. I've had it for several years and it's still in excellent condition.

I found one on Amazon.

measure the inside of your tub or shower stall

the legs tend to splay out for stability and I ordered a shower chair for my dad and then  realize the tub is not wide enough to accomodate the chair but can do the stool
