I haven't been on a scale since my last doctor visit pre-Covid.  My clothes fit, I feel OK, no need to weigh myself--LOL!!

I weigh myself every single morning. 5 lbs is 5 lbs. I feel 5 lbs is much harder to lose. For me I have to decrease what I eat and increase my activity. I only eat a no carb diet, carbs are my downfall so I do very well without them. I'm an avid walker and by walking my weight stays the same. I lost 70 lbs years ago and still have kept it off by walking. Good luck.

I weigh myself at least twice a week. I want to know about any changes to my overall health well before they become problematic.

I understand....the struggle is real 😫

Try not to be so hard on yourself!
5 lbs imho . Isn't bad at all !

Considering the holidays, not working, your wrist injury 😕

Not to be nosey ....is your health good ? Do your clothes still fit ?

That's what's important!

Take care of yourself you got this ! 👍

It's very disheartening to hear that. But it's normal to put on a few pounds after you sustain an injury. You had a long recovery where you couldn't work, and I would guess had to eat more convenient foods. It's easy to snack when you're recoveri g too. Take heart, the warmer weather is coming, and no doubt you'll be more active. Plus you're back to work and will get into your routine again. It's a small amount of weight, and I'm sure you'll take it off the more you finish your recovery.

"5 pounds" is when my alarm goes off telling me to watch it. I'm a very small-framed person and any small weight gain is not good for me so I try not to over-eat or eat fattening foods until I get back to my normal weight.  It's not hard to do but when you have friends taking you out to eat and cooking for you, that's what's difficult to refuse! Woman LOL

Likewise, when my pants get a little too tight (maybe after snacking on a desert).... that's my warning bell to stop: exercise, no, snacking, and get down to brass tacks.

@Luvsmyfam You mentioned previously you were back to work. Once you are in your normal routine for a while I'll bet the pounds will start to come off!

Always tell the nurse or whoever is weighing me - my shoes weigh 10 lbs.🤪

I do not take off my shoes. Always good for a laugh but they never take off the 10 lbs.🙄

It's ok, though. I do not weigh myself at home so a few pounds either way is okay.

I stopped weighing myself at home about 8 years ago and only went by what the Dr.'s scale said.  Then about 3 three years ago I told them "do not tell me" and I turn away.

I went in this past Tues. afternoon for my 6 month check up and my Dr. (who I adore) said "I know you do not want to know the # but you are still under weight."

I do not want to know even that much I go by my clothes and my reflection in the mirror and my thighs have been growing these past few months!!

But due to her comment for dinner I had a crispy chicken sandwich and CAKE and Ice Cream!!  If we do not want to know then they should keep the info to themselves.
