There is no way I would give up pasta or bread. I don't eat much meat, more fish than meat. Everything in moderation.

Reference to "studies"and " research" as some sort of proof or scientific validity of a specific diet means little to nothing unless the results of the study were published in a peer reviewed established and recognized medical journal.

exactly. Often you find that the studies done to "prove" the validity of crazy diets or supplements or whatever, are funded by their own companies. Now, if the New England Journal of Medicine or The Lancet come out with studies on a carnivore diet I might pay attention.

This could be a dangerous for many.
Thanks for saying this, @Carmie. Since my kidney removal last year, I've been keeping my protein moderate even though I didn't/don't have kidney disease (it was kidney cancer). I saw my urologist last week when accompanying DH to an appointment. I asked him about limiting protein and oxalates. He said I could eat what I want. I don't believe in overeating protein anyway, but at least if I go over now and then I'm not worried about it being detrimental.

Outside of church, people don't like to be preached to about their lifestyle, especially by a pseudo-scientist influencer.
I have no idea if the op receives a kickback for people viewing the video, etc. as was suggested. But, I do wonder why the OP would so adamantly push it.
Excellent observation, and worth considering.

@lizzys wrote:@Susan Louise Do you mind me asking how you get all the nutrients you need to prevent osteoporosis? Doesn't seem to be much calcium in meat unless you binge on sardines.
The carnivore way of eating does allow for some full fat dairy, @lizzys.

I read all of this with interest, but admit to being confused. Anyone hear of Steven Gundry (might have his last name misspelled). Anyway, it's something called lectins which he says we must avoid. I believe tomatoes are a big no-no, and I love them.

Gundry another snake oil salesman. I would not take advice from him.

I've wondered what promoting You Tube videos actually pays. Several posters seem to do it.
Seems like a nice easy gig to earn a few extra bucks.

@JeanLouiseFinch If my memory serves me right, aren't you the one who goes on fasts for long periods of time? I recall one was for 45 hours. I don't find this a healthy lifestyle considering your medical history. If I am incorrect, please let me know.
