Someone here recommended it for dry eye. I bought it and I'm taking it. The dose on the bottle says 2 softgels, but I believe it was recommened 4 per day. I am wondering if anyone has results from only 2 per day ro do I need to bump it up to 4. Thanks.

I personally would never put anything into my eyes that my opthalmologist wasn't aware of. Have you checked with your eye doctor?

I believe the OP is taking these capsules by mouth.
My eye doc recommended flaxseed oil capsules for my dry eyes (taken orally).

These capsules are taken orally not placed directly in the eye.

I'm getting ready to try this. I already take Omega 3 for my dry eye. I've heard several people say they've experienced lessening of their symptoms after taking the sea buckthorn berry oil. I think 2 grams daily.
Here's the 2011 study:

I was the one who recommended the SB Berry Oil to you. I said you could start out with 4 per day for a week or so to get it going, then go down to 2 per day. I have been taking it for the last 8 years to combat feminine dryness after menopause, and it has truly worked for me. for that it was recommended to take 4 per day for 2 months then taper down to 2 per day.

If the softgels are 500 mg each, then 2 grams is equal to 4 softgels daily.

I make a flax seed muffin in a cup every morning with 1/4 cup of milled flaxseed. I have done this for a couple of years for dry eyes and have seen absolutely no improvement.
What it has helped is the condition of my hair, and it is high in fiber.
After using the link provided above in a previous posting, if I am reading it right, it said that sea buckthorn berry oil did nothing to improve dry eye tear production, that it only may have had asecondary effect on inflammation.

Thank you! I really appreciate the advice.

@BhvbumYou're correct. It addresses the inflammation, not tear production. I have read studies that indicate that Maqui Berry extract may help with that. I took that for over 2 years, but never got any noticable improvement, really. The only thing that's helped me has been Restasis.
