Re: Safe Cookware for Cancer Survivor

I just want to thank everyone for their kinds words and suggestions.  I highly appreciate it.  It's been tough and I am researching new cookware.  It has been tough because they all appear to have a layer of aluminum which does have me concerned.  I do love all of your suggestions!  Stay stafe and healthy!!

I'm not sure what your issue with aluminum is but clad stainless the aluminum is sandwiched between the steel so it isn't touching your food.

I'm a cancer survivor too, although I did have chemo. I didn't change my cookware because of it. I use clad stainless, bare cast iron and enameled cast iron cookware.

Re: Safe Cookware for Cancer Survivor

I never thought about cookware causing health issues, but I purchased a Parrot about 10 years ago and the thing that they stressed is--- do not cook with any type of Teflon coating as it will kill that Parrot.    That is the day I started using stainless.  If it can kill a Parrot, then what is it doing to us?
