I've had a stressful week, still helping my grandson with school, went to church this morning, had to be there by 8 am and stay over for a few hours after service to help with a big event we are working on so I didn't get back home until after 1. The first thing I did was take a shower with Philosophy fresh cream warm cashmere and got in my pj's.  I feel so much better now!  I love this Philosophy scent it's so relaxing to me. I'm going to relax the rest of the day, watch TV and nap !

So my question is what do you do to relieve a stressful day?

@Goodie2shoes    Is your grandson back in school now?

As a retired lady, your time should be your own and you should be relatively stress free.  Perhaps you're doing too much with/for your grandson?

You should have a life of your own, friends, and do things you enjoy.

Work has been busy for me and dh (self employed) plus my kitchen is torn up, two weeks now.

I had to work at home the first week and along with that I would go into the office  early to make it home by the time the contractor showed up.  Sometimes you just have to be at the office to complete a task.

Those days that were really busy, after the contractor left and I was done working, I would shut down my computer, change clothes and put on my pj's..make dinner .and veg out on the couch and watch tv, then head to bed early to start it all over again.  I slept like a baby that 1st week.

 Last week I was able to go into the office every day, the contractor was not here last week.  I am hoping he shows up this week to put by cupboard doors and drawers back on.  Things are a mess!...

I don't mind the stress on occasion, just would not want it on a day in and day out basis.

I do my best to eliminate the source of the stress.

Yoga Nidra really helps me. There is no physicall exercise involved. Find a recording on YouTube. You just lay and follow prompts bringing attention to certain parts of your body.

If I had a stressful work day, I change clothes in my office and run a few miles around the campus.  I feel so much better.  Or I will go home and hop on the Peleton Bike if it's too cold or rainy to run.  I feel like a new human when I'm done...

@Goodie2shoes

Prettymuch what you do.  I have a dufferent life than you since it's just me.  Howerbr when you talh about your grandson it makes me smile.

Yes 7 yr old boys are busy little people, sounds like he has some after school activities.  I used to do the school runs when I could as I was working at 7. But we bonded.

It all goes so fast. He was born yesterdays it seems and today he is in his dorm room.  Our bond is still there and we speak often.

Just take care of you too!
