My husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer 4 or 5 yrs. ago. He opted to have the prostate surgically removed.  They thought they got it all  but they didn't.  He will be starting radiation treatments soon.  He will be getting them 5 days a week for 6 weeks.  They started him off with 2 shots in his belly a couple of days ago.  It has taken his appetite away and his belly is very red and sore.  This is a common side affect.  It is a hormone called Firmagon.  I would appreciate so much your prayers and thoughts for him.

Have been where you are, and YES it is not easy.  Put everything in the hands of God ,and know that he is  holding all of you gently and will take care of you.
