Reduction and Complication

A friend of mine at work had a br---t reduction 5 weeks ago. This past weekend she started burning and itching. She looks like she has been branded by an iron...solid blood red all over her chest and under her arms. The plastic surgeon is treating her with prednisone and an anti fungal cream. Anyone heard of this?
