I am having trouble with some knee issues, not ready for any surgery.   My ortho doctor said to exercise my muscles at the knee for support of my legs.  He suggested a leg exerciser (not the motorized ones).  I have seen the ellipse mentioned on the wellness forums.  Can anyone give a recommendation?

Re: Recommendations for a .....

I have a deskcycle. It sits on the floor in front of your chair. It is like pedaling a bicycle without handles or a seat. It is not electrical but has an internal flywheel. You can adjust the tension from 1-10. It tracks time, distance, etc. It is quiet and you can pedal while watching TV. I recommend it.

Also ask your physical therapist, they should have some suggestions after they do your flexing measurements.

Mine had some thoughts about the lateral heel structure in my shoes.  He wanted more support then I was used to.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you @Still Raining ... that is also part of the process.  I will confer with them also.

Re: Recommendations for a .....

I had knee issues and after physical therapy I got a personal trainer.  I work out twice a week and at this point I do upper body one day a week and lower body one day a week.  I also walk about 3 miles (trying) twice a week.  It is good for your whole self.  Can be a little expensive but well worth it for my health.  I am 78 and have very little pain anywhere in my body.  The personal trainer knows just how much you need to keep the knees working.  Good luck

Re: Recommendations for a .....

I have been having trouble with my left knee. I used to walk 5 miles per day. I can no longer do that. When I do my knee gets so swollen I can't walk.

I have been using RLT (red light therapy) which really helps or I probably wouldn't be able to walk.

I started taking 1 tsp of CBD/CBG just over 2 wks ago. I notice in the morning after I take it my knee doesn't hurt much at all. I can walk with no pain. By the end of the day if I'm on my feet all day my knee is hurting. I use the RLT pad. I use the RLT daily regardless.

@m0rgan :  Thanks.........mine started after working out with a personal trainer (has trained celebrities)/classes and putting too much strain on my knees and other parts of my body.  I actually had a scope done on my right knee.  I was advised yesterday to avoid walking until my knee gets stronger and look for a non-motorized leg exerciser.

@Nightowlz ... thank you.  I did get cortisone shots yesterday and will see how long that lasts along with the PT and getting the leg exerciser.  Not sure about CBD/CBG...not familiar with that.  Best of luck on your journey.
