@Mindy D I don't know how to read these things.  It's confusing.

@rms1954 @The date code on yours, 166201, is not the same date code as the code for the ones on recall, 1302021. I'd leave yours frozen and wait in case the company expands the recall. I don't think you can be sure your lobster is not affected even if the date code is different. I went to the company website and looked around. They have not put any recall information on their website yet.

Yours are tails and no full tails are listed. The use by dates in the fda chart is different than the use by date in the photos. There's some need for clarification from the company and FDA. The recall is for tail meat, not whole tails.

@rms1954 QVC does sell scored lobster claws in 2lb bags. They sell a set of two, 2lb bags.  The recall says that the claws in 3 lb bags are recalled. Your use by date is one of the same use by dates as some of those in the recall. More importantly, you have whole tails and there are no whole tails listed as recalled.

Re: Recall of Greenhead frozen lobster products. Possible Listeria contamination.

Wow, never heard of that happening with lobster before.  That's going to be a huge hit to the company, especially given how difficult things have been for everybody this past 18 months.

I checked this out and at least it was caught by Greenhead's own testing protocol and they initiated the recall.  It seems to be in cooked packets of meat (I was curious as to how lobster got infected with listeria) so it's likely it happened during that process.

Fortunately, I don't have any of this product in the freezer.

@rms1954 Hello. It seems that the chart on the FDA page does not list whole lobster tails but that the photos provided do show whole lobster tails. See my next post to see the tails.

To anyone reading this thread there's a discrepancy between the chart of recalled items and the photos.
