Recall of 917000 BMWs due to possibility of engine fires.

BMW is recalling more than 917,000 vehicles due to positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve heaters that may overheat due to an electrical short, increasing the risk of an engine compartment fire while driving or soon after being parked.

Yes...  thanks.  The model years are from 2006 to 2013.

There are likely many well-outfitted and large pickup trucks in the price range of some BMWs.

I guess it’s a matter of preference.

Yikes. Good to know and I’ll check it out. I’m due to pick up my 2019 4 series I just bought last week. I can’t wait since I’ve been essentially without a car since MLK weekend when a guy ran a red light and totaled my car!
