That video was available and Baltimore is just caving. This is public pressure, mob mentality. The time for outrage was before the sentencing in court and by the NFl. Now is it just CYA. Pathetic on all fronts.

Yes! There is no compaeison to his size and strength-none! If, and i mean if, he felt the need to stop her all he had to do was just hold her hands or hug her. I'm serious. He's so strong all he had to do was just hug or hold her until she calmed down. But from that video it only looked like words were flying. Then bam! What a low life. And I know many women defend the abuser and I will never understand it. But I'm blessed to say that I have never been in their shoes.

Now I haven't read all the responses so this may have been said but Janay issued a public apology via twitter apologizing for her role in the incident. Sad! 4 mos. later the Ravens deleted it. Roger Goodel interviewed Janay with her abuser in the same room.

. That's pretty bad. Not that she would have changed her story one bit. Why is everyone mad now?! What did they think happened in that elevator?? And even after everyone treated him like a hero giving Ray Rice a standing ovation at home. He makes me sick. I swear he was smirking like the cat who ate the canary at the games he was suspended from. He shouldn't have even been there! Ray Rice should still have millions. Maybe not as many as he lost but he won't be flipping burgers and will still live better than most people.

You never know - he might be flipping burgers in a couple of years. Athletes are notoriously BAD at handling money. It was suggested a few years back that they all get financial counselors to learn how to invest their money. Quite of few athletes have declared bankruptcy.

The DAY AFTER he was indicted for attacking her.

Wives can't be forced to testify against their husbands.

I blame the DA for letting him off with a slap on his wrist.

If he didn't actually go to trial, can it be double jeopardy? And if the charges are different, being that they are upgraded due to the violence against his wife, the double jeopardy wouldn't be in effect?

No matter what, in my opinion, even if she hit him, he is 5 times bigger and 50 times stronger than her. His one punch knocked her out cold. He wasn't even effected if she hit him. It doesn't make it right for her to hit him, but is just isn't the same.

And it isn't necessarily the money that is keeping her with him. The majority of abused women are NOT with millionaires, they are with regular Joes and they stay with their abusers. I know from personal experience that many circumstances make women stay. Sometimes, it just cannot be explained...

This is just a very sad situation that abusing women is an everyday occurrence.
