@SilleeMee  That's very true. To me, all the more reason to try if possible, to get your vitamin D in the most natural and best utilized way, by the Sun. With or without sunscreen. Then the body will use only what it needs, and not store extra in the fat cells where it can build up to dangerous levels. That holds true for any fat soluble supplements. I am of normal to lower weight, and I used to take D & K2 until I discovered this.

BTW, most K2 is made from fermented Natto, I buy Doctor's Best which is made from chick peas, which I think is a much better choice.  Just my 2 cents.

Wow, I just bought the same brand for this exact reason-don't want soy.

I'm late to the party on this post, but when I was looking I noticed there is K2 as mk7 as well as k2 as mk4 which is cheaper. I know that "as mk7" is the type to get, but I wonder if others may get the "as mk4" because of cost. The front of both say K2, but most only say if it's mk7 or mk4 on the back label, which may not be read before buying

I have read many times MK4 has very little efficacy.

@Alsace Gal

I too have very low vitamin D ! IThankfully my pharmacist gave me some good information 👌

First ,take with a meal it helps the Vitamin D get into your body also K2 is highly recommended also in helping it absorb. In my experience my Vitamin B was low as well . I asked for it to be tested ,per my pharmacist suggestion....

I hope this helps 🙏 💕

Doctor's always prescribe D2 with a script. They don't prescribe D3 which is better because it's a supplement?

Your liver processes them different. D2 is plant based D3 is animal based.

If you don't get out in the sun daily you should take it. Especially in the winter when you don't get the sun. If you apply a lot of sunscreen you still need the D3. I read years ago if you wear higher than an SPF 8 your not getting your Vit D.

If you are low in Vit D3 it can cause a lot of health issues.

I also read Vit D is the one supplement that you can take that will help keep you from going from pre-diabetic to diabetic.

You have to keep taking it to keep your levels where they need to be. You can't just take the dose your doctor said & when done your finished?

Andrew Lessman has 2 different formulas one with calcium, magnesium, D3, K2 Mk7, Vit C & Boron. The other one has no magnesium but a little more calcium.

Ultimate Calcium Magnesium or Ultimate Calcium Care.

This is the chart I go by for my D3 levels.

My Endocrinologist told me that you can't have enough Vitamin B12. I take it daily. My level is high but he says it is shown to help with many things, including cognition.
