Many fat soluble vitamins come in a gel-cap form.  That's really all the fat they need.  Co-Q10 is like that.  It's fat soluble, but the advice I've seen is to either take Co-Q10 with fat if it is not a gel cap OR use the gel-caps in which case you don't need to take with fat.

@Alsace Gal

Yes, please ask your Dr just to be sure.❤️

I"m also prescribed vitamin d.  My dr says a lot of women are too low and don't even know it.  She also prescribes vitamin b12.  I don't get a vitamin K though.  Maybe I should ask about this too.

I take a Vitamin D supplument with K2.  Vitamin D alone is not good enough, IMO.  The K2 directs the Vitamin D away from the heart and into your bones.  You do not want calcium building up anywhere but your bones.

This is what I understood about vitamin D and K as well.

I take a combined supplement D3 & K2

I take D3 daily along with calcium, K2 and magnesium, the K2 helps to direct the calcium away from the heart and into the bones. I have not heard of taking D2, only RX for D3 about 50,000 IU per week for a while then move onto OTC D3. You want to raise your D level to over 30. When I took RX it went up to over 100.

K2 has nothing to do with keeping D away from the heart. K2 directs calcium to your bones instead of to the arteries and heart.

Take K2 and D3 together for better absorption with a synergistic affect. Take with food containing fat preferably in the daytime b/c that's normally when the body synthesizes D from natural sunlight.
