Question for those who use Astaxanthan

I have read past posts, but am wondering, what have you seen it do for you if you took it long term?   I bought Nutrex Hawaiian 12mg.

I'm a melanoma survivor and need all the sun precatution I can get.

I also take 12 mg.  When I first started taking it, about seven years ago, my eyesight improved as measured by my optometrist.  I don't use sunscreen on a daily basis, my skin never turns even pink.

Re: Question for those who use Astaxanthan

Thank you for your reply.  I read it can make sun spots on skin lighten and was really hoping mine would fade.  I am a blue eyed blonde and want to walk my dog and not burn.  I've lived decades in the shade and I'm not sure living out of the sun is the best long term for bones.

Re: Question for those who use Astaxanthan

It's one of the ingredients in the vision supplement I take every day.

I think it definitely reduces "floaters"- don't know exactly how it does it but if I miss taking them, the floaters become much more prominent again.

I take 5 mg daily, have no clue if it is doing anything for me.

How long have you taken it and how much do you use?

I think I started taking it 4 or 5 years ago after cataract removal and eye muscle surgery.

My supplement contains 1 gram.    HTH

Re: Question for those who use Astaxanthan

I take Andrew Lessman's.  I think I've been on it a least a year if not a little longer.  I took it for floaters as my eye doctor mentioned that I have a lot of floaters.

I can't say I've noticed any difference one way or another.
