Re: Question about upcoming physical checkup

@SeaMaiden

My interpretation is that you're expecting to have the kind of checkup where you strip down, wear a gown, and the Dr checks your body from head to toe.   None of the Drs. I go to have ever done that.

I see my medical Dr. 3x a year.  The nurse gets my weight, BP, temperature, 02 sat, and does a medication review.   The Dr. checks my ears, nose, throat, feels my thyroid gland, checks circulation in my feet, listens to my heart and lungs, presses on my stomach and feels for enlarged liver, while we discuss any issues I might have.   He sends thru a renewal for my medications, and then sends the lab tech in to draw blood for my routine labs.   The lab tech calls within 3 days with my results.

I see my GYN yearly; he orders my mammogram and bone density.

I see my dermatologist yearly for skin checks, due to having many pre cancers removed in latter years.
