My dr said to get my flu shot at the pharmacy: his office doesn't give them because it takes up so much time to just give flu shots. I haven't seen flu shots advertised at any of the local pharmacies yet: maybe it is too early for it. We always get our vaccines at the pharmacy. There is never a charge. I think Medicare covers all vaccines. I have not had the pneumonia vaccine and our pharmacy doesn't carry it all year so it's not even in stock right now.

I am grateful for my medical insurance after reading this thread. I received my two dose Shingles shot earlier this year at the doctors office by a nurse at no charge to me.
Are you in California? The reason why I ask is that I know that we have a colored tiered system here by county for COVID, and that's what I thought of when you mentioned your city going orange.
