Pump implant for pain medication

It was suggested yesterday by my pain doctor that I should thnk about having a pump implanted to disperse pain medication. I can not take meds orally without being violently ill. Does anyone on here have one or know of someone with a pump? Would like to weigh the pros and cons of it. Thanks.
