I received a coupon to fill a new prescription at a specific pharmacy AND get a $25 gift card.

I want the gift card.  Caveat: I am not on any prescription medications; only OTC allergy pills.

What prescription can I get when I am healthy?  It has to be for me.

WHAT???  Why take something you don't need??

By the time you pay your office visit co-pay and prescription co-pay, how much are you going to gain by getting a $25 gift card.  Break even maybe.....

How many times do I need to repeat this?

There's no copay for a phone call.  I see her once a year for my physical.  She knows I have allergies.

The pharmacy is absorbing the cost of the copay.

$25 pure proft!

Re: Prescription Recommendation

The time wasted reading this discussion is worth more the $25.

I read the entire thread.

It does seem more than a bit odd you needed to ask for suggestions of prescriptions meds you could request just so you could get a $25 gift.

If you need prescription allergy medicine, why wasn't it prescribed when you had your annual physical?

I'm so blessed & thankful I manage my financial life

@Patriot3  Early on in the thread, I don't know if it was even the OP's intent to even take the medication since she was just looking for medication recommendations without giving any health specifics other than she was healthy and not on any prescription medications.  It seemed like it could be anything as long as it was a prescription.  She only wanted a prescription (that's she'd essentially get free through her insurance and comped co-pay from the promoting pharmacy) in order to get a $25 gift card.  It was only later that it was revealed that she needed a stronger alergy medication twice a year, the soonest season being winter, which is still a couple of months away.  That said, I suspect she had to fib to the doctor in order to get it sooner, but I can't prove that.  All for a $25 gift card so she could try a new mascara.  SMH
