I understood the simple question and it made perfect sense to me.
If the gift card offer had been something I was interested in, I would have contacted my doctors office for a renewed prescription for the specific antihistamine I take, or the topical ointments I use for a skin condition---I would not have to see my doctor to have these renewed.

@KarenQVC wrote:@HonnyBrownThe ones I can think of, Astelin Nasal Spray and that cream for dry, cracked skin, are expensive to begin with. Well, it never hurts to have extra allergy meds on hand. And cream for hives, I suppose. Well, you solved the puzzle. I don't see anything wrong, since the dr. went along with it.
@hckynutjohn I'm happy you got the Vitamin D test OK. That policy makes no sense.
Maize, you are so correct! It helps to have a different allergy med as a back up. My Dad has been saying this as well.
I got so complacent with Claritan that I just morphed into the additional symptoms, not realizing I needed to change.

It is illegal for pharmacies to give patients gift cards or other incentives to transfer or fill their prescriptions if the prescription is paid for by the government
Just in case .... Apparently, there have been a lot of pharmacies offering incentives.
I hope you get your gift card and enjoy spending it....

By the time you pay your office visit co-pay and prescription co-pay, how much are you going to gain by getting a $25 gift card. Break even maybe.....
