Prescription Discount Cards

As of October 1, 2013, I will have insurance that does not cover prescriptions. I was laid off from my job as a Legal Secretary, and my employer's insurance will end on 9/30/13. I have already applied for my new insurance but could not afford the type with prescriptions. Just received a free prescription discount card in the mail from National Prescription Savings Network. I live in PA. Does anyone have any experience with these? Can anyone recommend any good prescription discount cards? Thank you.
