Back in July I had these tests done and doc had email me that all was normal. While I was in FL I get this email that says she went over my tests again and the pregnenolone and DHEA were quite low and my cortisol spikes mid-day. (cortisol was saliva, 4xs a day)
I see her tomorrow but it worries me that when i asked for this test to be ordered because I had read an article on it on my old naturopath's Facebook page she seems to not know a thing about pregnenolone. I am just concerned that I will not get the proper care I need and just thrown on supplements that she is not even familiar with. After what I went through with the prednisone, I certainly don't want a repeat of something like that and from what I read being over medicated can have bad side effects as well. I just don't have the confidence I should in her and my old doc is out of pocket and i just can't afford it.
I did call my endocrinologist and as my luck always has it, he is not available this week whatever that means. I also have hashimoto's, fibro CFS, vitiligo and sjogrens. I also read that these hormones can affect the immune system which makes me wonder...
Does anyone here have any/all of these as well and what was done for it?
