Predisone and rectal bleeding

Have had back pain in varying degrees most of my life. Have one leg sligtly longer than the other and some alignment issues. Anyhow, I am 59 and work as a housekeeper with a hospital. So my work does not help. At any rate pain in joints and back seem to be a bit worse and have trouble sleeping and with stiffness after remaining still from sitting or sleeping. So someone suggested I go to the pain clinic. doc suggested a few things, MRI, PT, see rhematologist, and gave me predisone pills to take for 6 days. Have been a bit constipated and today on the 5th day of pill taking, noticed blood in my stool not just on paper, (sorry for being so graphic). On paper from Pharmacy it says to call doctor about rectal bleed or tarry stools. Don't know that I'd call mine tarry. Will call someone either pain clinic doctor or pharmacy tomorrow Monday. No other real side effects. Not sure how much these pills helped my back. Looked online a bit a saw that rectal bleeding is a common reaction. I don't have ulcerative colitis that I know of. Take Prilosec and that all the meds I am on normally. I take ES Tylenol for back pain only.

Anyone else have this issue and does the bleeding stop after stopping the pills and how soon after discontinuing taking the predisone.

Appreciate any info!
