Prayers please...I had to have a chest xray and blood drawn as a prerequisite to my pending back surgery on 12/18. After reviewing the chest cray, my personal physician ordered a CT scan because of some density in the lower left lobe. Makes me very nervous and scared but was told this is just precautionary. The way I found out was when the imaging center called me to schedule an appointment!!!! The Physicians Assistant was very apologetic when I called in a panic. Anyway, I am asking for prayers and good thoughts for good rexults. Thanks!

I would think they are using CT images to check that dense tissue to be completely sure you have no blood clots or infection in your lungs prior to surgery. Simply erring on the side of safety.
Best wishes to you.

@Shiloh09- I kind of know what you're going through. Try to look at it as your medical team doing everything in their power to take the best care of you. I hope the CT scan will give a better picture and that you'll be able to move forward as planned with a successful surgery.
