So I went to the doctor today complaining of dizziness and nausea for the last 2 weeks and in the last 2 days, flu like symptoms. I told him that when ever I get a cold, it lasts at least a month causing me almost to vomit because the coughing almost chokes me. I told him that even when the cold is gone, I always have to clear my throat a lot, especially when laying down. I had been told years ago, by another physician, that I had bronchitis and just suffered using cough syrup DM.

The doctor diagnosed me with a case of vertigo (I've had this in the past so I agreed with that) and a separate case of post nasal drip. He told me to continue taking dramamine for my dizziness since it seemed to be working and sent a prescription to my pharmacist for Flonase. I haven't picked it up yet.

I came home, too sick to go pick it up, went online later and researched it for side effects. And WOW: dizziness, ringing in the ears, loss of smell, migraine headaches and a host of other things. WHY would a person want to trade one illness for another? And I have glaucoma which the doctor failed to take into consideration (my research mentioned that glaucoma patients possibly shouldn't use flonase).

In my research, I kept hearing about neti pots. I looked at some videos and read some reviews on Amazon. I think I'm going to try that...seems safer and if it works.....so much healthier.

Has anyone tried neti pots for post nasal drip or any sinus issues?
