Positive Changes weight loss centers

I see the ad on TV for this program all the time.  I figured they were raking in the dough to run ads day and night continually.  It runs about $1400 for three months of their program which is based on hypnosis.  No food....just hypnosis.  Seems pretty steep.

Anyone on this program? Can you share what you know and what you think about it?

I figure if Positive Changes worked, the entire eastside would be slender.  I did try hypnosis maybe 30 years ago for weight loss.  It was a relaxing process but not a way for me to lose weight.

Hypnosis is an old, old gimmick for weight loss, smoking cessation,  or to break any bad habit.  Have you ever heard anyone you know say it works?  I havent.

I know one person who stopped smoking and never started up again after hypnosis - no patches or anything like that.  However, for most people I agree this is a gimmick and $1400 for 3 months seems like a rip off under any circumstances.

Both of my parents stopped smoking from hypnosis.  My dad quit after the first session, my mom it took two sessions.  But they never smoked again, and they had both smoked for years.

I worked with a girl who lost 150 pounds after hypnosis. She went from a 4x to about a 12. Saved up and had plastic surgery and she was gorgeous - she was in her 50's and looked like she was 30. She was single and went a little crazy enjoying her new self, got HIV and passed away, however, she said she had a great time none the less.

I was a heavy smoker and just quit cold turkey using nothing, so I sure didn't need hypnosis.  I did it just on a whim and never took another puff since 1985.

Hypnosis has a major flaw.  You don't learn how to eat and how to prepare food. The methods that give you the food don't teach you how to survive after the program ends.

The only system that has remained year in and year out is Weight Watchers.  It's an eating plan, not a diet.

But WW has it's share of failures also. Sure people can lose weight, but just how many reach goal and keep it off for the rest of their lives?  It would be interesting to see the satistics.

I tried hypnosis to quit smoking in, oh, 1977. I left the hypnotist's office and lit up. So much for that!

Would I spend the kind of money Positive Changes is asking for to lose weight? Not on your life.
