Ain't buying this one so got zip to say.

That's exactly what I've been thinking.

AUGUST37/

I am sorry for some of the rude comments directed at you and your predicament.

I have noticed as a l-o-n-g time ""lurker"" that many who post for the first time are immediately ""suspect"" regarding their topic/question....not sure why this happens.

If one is unfamiliar w/Bulletin Boards and posting...it takes some bit of courage to start a Thread of your own.

When one is immediately attacked or dis-believed it can cause one to go back to becoming a ""lurker"" and withdraw from participation in the ""community"".

Please don't allow a few posters to cause you to withdraw..there are plenty of kind people here who more than make up for some others.

I hope you take the GOOD advice and IGNORE the rest.

Let us know what happens for sure. Hope all is resolved w/out more stress.

I did not read the last few posts so it may be that you have already found a solution.

Re: Please, Please, Please help me...

fitnessfreak, I never check the number of posts unless the topic introduced is way out of the mainstream. I definitely AM hypersensitive to weight related topics. I post first- or few time- poster comments when I notice a potential hit-and-run troller or high school kid. Few people ever take note of when I post, and anyone is ALWAYS free to disagree with me! In the time the O/P reads all of these posts her dress could be altered and her problem solved.

Re: Please, Please, Please help me...

Restrict your sodium intake. Do not add salt to foods and check all labels for the sodium content. Research the list of low sodium foods, such as cantaloupe. Read up quickly on foods with hidden sodium, such as baked goods, pancakes (leavening agents ). If you are only doing this a few days, you should lose some water weight, which could allow you to temporarily fit into your dress. Another option is to see a seamstress or tailor.

Oh I disagree, no rudeness just a far fetched story of 2 young girls having some fun.

The story didn't add up, there is no way possible that the events happened when they did and actually how it all went down. These are the stories that make or break a business. I would just bet there wasn't any dresses ordered from them, there wasn't any wedding, there wasn't any need to lose weight, just some ill fitting bits of information to see how many posts and how much controversy to stir up.

They had their fun, until the next time they surface but they need to get their story straight before posting and keep the story "tight" so we won't have any holes to poke through.

Re: Please, Please, Please help me...

I'm traveling right and read this entire thread as entertainment. I had to laugh that some women think this is some kind of "conspiracy" on the part of the OP. I can understand why she wanted to post on an anonimous board. As I kept reading responses, I was thinking to myself "that was kinda harsh." She wanted advice, not criticism. And many of the rude responses come from posters that I have seen many other "harsh" posts from. And most of them were the ones saying that no one was being rude to her!! Is it easy to be rude when you're sitting behind your computer and no one knows you? Some of you are major "pieces of work" and give women a bad rap. And just to add, many of you gave kind, nonjudgemental replies which is exactly what she needed. The rest of you, well I can't say or the webbie would poof me!!

Re: Please, Please, Please help me...

Thank you all for your concern. I went to dillard's to purchase a corset. I met a girl at the mall, in some wall was a tailor. She asked me why didn't I bring my dress with me! I live only a hour away from the mall. I went home to get my dress. I made it back, but she was on her lunch break. So I waited in the lingerie area. Another lady that worked their asked if she could help me with anything. I explained what was going on. We went in the fitting room and she helped me put the corset on, my dress still wouldn't fit. So she asked for some help, with the corset, and the help of those two lady's my dress was zipped. So the next day, I went to the wedding earlier, because I knew it would take a couple of ladies to help me. So me and three other bridemaid got me into my dress, but with the corset I couldn't breathe, so I thought to myself, "with the dress zipped I should be able to take this off! So without unzipping my dress, we lifted it up, and my nieces, took all the loops a loose, and I wiggled my way out of the corset. I was able to wear my dress with no problems{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}....I brought needle and thread, just in case. Everyone their gave me so many compliments! I have pictures on facebook. If I find out how to get it done I will post pictures{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}... I just want you All to know, I appreciate you for being so concerned. You don't even know me, but my problem mattered to you! Blessings to you all!
