Re: Please Keep my Son in your prayers

Calm down.  Relax and try not to worry.  This isn't 2020.  He's taking the paxlovid which is good to hear.  People who take paxlovid are like 95 % less likely to get severely ill or require hospitalization.  He just had to get through this period of feeling lousy.

@ CalminHeart  wrote    I hope your son has been fully vaccinated. I had covid for the first time in December. I had a positive test on Monday and a negative test by Sunday and I credit the mild case and quick recovery to being vaccinated.

Sorry you had to deal with that virus and so glad it was a mild case. My son was vaccinated but no booster. I was vaccinated and had the second  booster in October.  I lost my mom to Covid in April of 2020, she was in a nursing home when Covid first started. I have had 2 sisters and 1 brother who had covid and they are ok now.  My daughter also had a mild case of Covid, vacinnated but no booster.

Paxlovid really helped my husband and he is 75. Each day after he took it, he started feeling a lot better. It took about 3 or 4 days. I will keep praying.

Re: Please Keep my Son in your prayers

Prayers work wonders and I will pray too. I just saw this now.

Sunday night we got the sad news that one of our nephews was in ICU - he drank too much and was told his liver was dead, and would need a liver replacement. He was almost dead!  With a lot prayers going for him, he got moved to another hospital and there it was found out his liver is not dead, and with treatment, he will survive, and he's coming home today or tomorrow.  A specialist will see him today to determine how bad his liver damage is. Wonderful to get such good news.

Re: Please Keep my Son in your prayers

@gloriajean - I'm glad his prognosis wasn't as bad as expected! I will pray for him.

@Goodie2shoes - I continue to pray for your son too. I hope he feels better.

DS called about an hour ago. Guess what? This will be his third time. It's rough being so far away. I just told him to rest and keep hydrated. Obviously he will be off work the rest of the week, but he's more upset because it's a special weekend and he will miss two parties. He missed the last booster. He regrets putting it off now.
