Yes, Mike!

Mike, speaking about the age categories in races, just reminded me of something.
The gym has a bioimpedance body composition analyzer and before it gives you the measurements it asks age, gender, height, weight, and it also asks if you are measuring for "normal" or "athlete" (how that changes the actual numbers on the device I don't understand at all, I mean, no matter which, fat is fat, and lean tissue is lean tissue, but I digress). Anyhow, after you turn 65 the ****** device won't even allow you to put in the "athlete" designation. You are forever deemed just "normal". Or maybe when you turn 90 it won't even let you measure since you're supposed to be dead or, at the very least, not interested in your body comp.
Hahahaha

For @QueenDanceALot, this analyzer should register
not ‘normal’,
not ‘athlete’, but...
’Dammmn Girl!’

Definitely!
Just shows positive changes can be made later in life.

@sidsmom. I noticed you were on the Keto thread, I wouldn't even bother if I were you. Some people don't think long terms. I have a feeling we're going to have even more heart disease in the future because of this diet.
I have some friends who have illness due to diet, none of them will try whole foods/plant based. They have everything from chronic constipation to pre-diabetes to extremely high cholesterol. One of them I've begged to try WFPB he laughed, now at the age of 48 he got a heart attack. I sent hlm Dr Esselstyns' book, he was so gratefull he almost cried. Now he follows Dr Baxter Montgomery's advice on Youtube & other plant-based doctors.
Personally, I am glad to be on this diet. I feel better, I have more energy. As soon as this it gets cooler, I'll be out there walking. I have a more positive outlook on life.

You’re so sweet!
I love presenting facts, science & just...common sense which backs
up my posts. After I finish writing out a post, it reminds me of how
lucky I am I discovered this way of life...I just want to teach everyone
what I’ve learned! I know it might appear fruitless but I know
social media platforms, like this, are visited by a majority of ‘silent’
members. If that one vistor, who never responds reads our posts...
and acts accordingly...their life has changed for the better.
Even if it’s just, say, an extra salad a day...that’s still a win!
🥗
So happy your friend finally saw the light! 48..wow, that’s young.
My friend was 55 when she had her stroke...active, very fit, very trim,
but obviously not very healthy. She still maintains her diet is not
an issue. 🤷♀️ I realize fitness is an important component,
but even the home-bound can see results with a plant-based lifestyle.
As Dr. McDougall says, “It’s the Food”.
Truth.
Plants are the future.
Though, in reality, our previous generations knew it all along!

@kitty45.....I totally agree with your post. So many people out there with health issues, but won't even give changing their eating habits a chance. It's easier for them to run to the doctor and get an RX, then run around these forums boo-hooing about their ailments looking for sympathy. SMH.

It’s Football Season at the NFL!
A football-player diet is the stereotype meat-based diet...and
starts as young as middle/high school. Beginning to see more & more
articles about athletes changing their diet to extend their careers.
