Anyone get pedicures because it hurts to cut your toenails?  I have this summer, but tried to cut my own this winter so far, but it hurts. since I broke my left hip and have a partial replacement, that upper leg hurts.  I find that the pedicures so wonders for me, and they do a great job!  I sure don't get them often because of the expense!

Yes, I love getting pedicures. My feet are happy and I also love sitting in the massage chair while it is being done.

I get pro pedis too, once in 2 months. At 71, I can no longer do a good job reaching my feet to properly apply polish. I do get the calluses off myself once a week. .

Just a FYI. In case you are diabetic, you can get your toe nails cut at a podiatrist's office and your health insurance will pay for it.

That helps with the cost.

I am not diabetic, but that's good information for those who are.  Thanks much for letting me know I'm not the only one that needs this done for me.

It's just that now in the winter, I haven't done it.

It's below zero degrees weather and tomorrow will be even colder!! Brrrr.  I'm just used to getting the peds in the summer wearing my sandals.

I'm getting one tomorrow. Even though it's boot season in Chicago, I love to have pretty feet. Winters are hard and this makes me happy.

If you're not diabetic Medicare will still pay for pedicures at a podiatrist's office, but only every six months. That's what my mom's podiatrist told me.

If you're diabetic Medicare will pay for one a month.

I get regular pedicures because I can't do my toenails as beautifully as the techs.  I did my own pedicures during Covid and I thought I was going a good job.  Until I had a professional one.  I get a pedicure every three weeks.
