I have a bad shoulder due a fall slipping on ice this past winter and I'm not wanting to take oral pain relievers.  Any recommendations on pain patches that have worked?  TIA!

Not a patch, but I have found CBD ointment to help with joint pain.

I keep seeing a commercial for Advil roll on pain relief.  Also my husband uses Solanpas

maximum patches and I just got him some Tommy copper pain relief roll on,  from here acutally.   He likes them all,  except the Advil one because we haven't found it yet.

I've used Salonpas with good results. I always have a box or two here.

I'm on the computer all day for work. I have pain in my right hand and wrist. I take the largest one available and wrap it around.  I sleep with it on.  I've also used on my back when needed.

@BornToShop

There are Icy Hot with Lidocaine patches, there are plenty of roll on with Lidocaine.

Everything will give you temporary help but it doesn't last.

There's also a max strength odor free Aspercreme with Lidocaine dry spray that numbs away the pain.

Haven't had much success with a patch for any long term relief.

I use Salonpas, both the patches and the roll on.  I've tried other brands that helped but you could smell me coming and going.  There is no odor attached to Salonpas.

Before buying check :

 There are some patches that include camphor, menthol and methyl salicylate

There are Lidocaine patches at almost any drug store

There are prescription stregnth Lidocaine patches that a Doctor can prescribe

Many creams for muscle pain include  Capsaicin or  camphor &  menthol and methyl salicyl   or Lidociane  or Voltaren ( arthritis medicine )

@BornToShop   I've used Lidocaine patches successfully for lower back pain.  However, I've not found any insurance company which will approve them.  They are prescription only and too expensive to just pay for w/o insurance.

I tried Aspercream with 5% Lidocaine.  Didn't do a thing for me.  Voltaren is much better.
