Hi Salty,

The best way for me give you this information would be via my e-mail. If you bring up my name my e-mail address has always been listed in the "biography box line". This is how I've done this with several others on this forum and also on the Electronics forum when they wanted more specific info from me.

With Electronics it is easier for me to stick with 1 specific person to make sure I am explaining things in a way they can follow. Those things get easily lost because different manufacturers use different terminology for meaning the exact same things.

With this issue, as I said in my rather long reply to "sophiamarie" I am not comfortable with saying or suggesting certain procedures or things that have happened or have worked for this old body. While I talk a lot here there are many times when I leave well enough alone because I am not willing to risk anyone's health or safety because of something I typed on this forum.

I got raked pretty bad some time back when I had a "near death" experience from a certain procedure. Everyone wanted to know what it was but there again I did not see how it would benefit anyone by knowing this.

On the other hand I felt there is a chance some may avoid this procedure because of a fear that is unrelated to what might be their experiences with the same thing. Never disclosed what this was and I have or see no reason to do so now. For me this is an ongoing procedure that I am still having on a "kinda-regular" basis and there has not been another similar episode.

Will wait to receive and e-mail from you and then go from there. If you are uncomfortable e-mailing me I understand. My reason for having been on this BB for so many years is all above board and I've met many good cyber-friends and Cindy and I met 2 of them in person when they were in our city.

Cindy is doing better and will be seeing a couple different doctors this week. One on Tuesday and I am not sure of the other. Gotta see my doctor myself about some tests and also have a followup on these danged shingles.

Ahhhh sophiamarie,

Now you weren't one of the many that had the "rake" out that last time some did not agree with how I handled that one, were you? Glad to see you remembered how I handled a similar thing the last time. I am many things and 1 of them is I always try to be consistent, and how I handled this is the same as the last one, and the one before that and the one before that.

No need for anyone to have a crystal ball to peer into with anything similar to this thread or my reply. In some things I have "rules" in other parts of my life I have "standards" and anyone that knows me well, either in cyber-space or in real life, will tell you it makes no difference who or what you are, my same rules and standards apply to best friends/associates and cyber-friends. The exception, maybe? That would be my wife.

Not sure you were around the last time I wanted to keep something from those that read this forum. The only reason I even brought up the previous event was because someone asked me if I was having any medical problems because I was MIA from here for some time.

I didn't(and don't)want to be specific of the "what" of it because I think many here might have to have this procedure done and did not want to cause undue worry to any one of them. What happened to me was very, very rare and sharing it? I felt the harm would out value what little good it would do for those that go through procedure as do I, which is without worrying. And people like that, as you now, are in a pretty small minority.

Sorry, I wasn't in on that chapter of the book and I hope you kept a copy of that thread. I would be interested to know what it was all about. It's not hard to see how you handle things, because they always end the same way. You are good at throwing out a lot of mis-information and then when someone asks you to be a bit more specific, you decide that it would be in their best interest not to know.

At least it looks like I'm not the only one who has your number.

Hi Ford. John posted on another thread about his tacycardia.He found in an old book a method to alleviate it. Now he won't share the method because he doesn't want anyone harmed. I often suffer from sinus tacycardia a method of using very cold water and eating ice in addition to pressing on the pulse point on the neck was recommended for me. Only a cardiologist familiar with an individual patient can recommend the procedure. A rapid heart rate can be the beginning of a heart attack, so only a physician can tell a person whether this should be used by an individual.

Looks like when they updated the BB they won't let someone else access "my profile" where I have had several e-mail addresses over the years I have been here.
