Back about 100 years ago (Smiley Wink ) when we purchased our first microwave I was so thrilled that I could melt velveeta and Rotel for our Nachos , I did and as the cook felt I must sample immediately -- I did -- well you know the ending ! After all these years I still recall the pain.

Just read in Reader's Digest, that if you burn your mouth, as you did, drink cold milk, not cold water, since the cold milk will coat what you burned. Just thought I'd pass that tidbit along. I haven't tried it, so I don't know.
