Been waiting a month or so for my doctor to tell me she'd finally convinced my insurance company into paying for my Reclast IV. I was just about to call her office to talk to her about the Reclast progress and the possibiity of Prolia if the insurance co protests....and I get a very nice patient form letter from her in the mail. She thanks us all for being her patients but has decided to leave her office group and take some time off, effective 10 days ago! What?
Feeling sad and let down/deserted and worried, so I call her office to see whats going on, is she ok? Where is she headed and will she be taking any of her patients again? What about my Reclast? What about renewing meds? What happened?
I really like her. She's intelligent and personable. Hate to lose her when I just got her.
So now I have an appt with a new NP on the last day of May to start this process all over
again...sigh
I'd like to see a specialist but suddenly don't have a doctor to refer me. Can an NP?
