Ladies, I called today for an appointment to discuss back surgery.  Dealing with a bent spine from scoliosis and arthritis of the spine.

In pain every day.

Sorry to hear you're still having so much pain @ECBG .   I had my second diagnostic nerve block on 3 nerves in my cervical spine yesterday.  Have to do this for insurance to determine payment for ablation in that area.  Considering that to reduce strictures on cervical nerves.  

Started PT in May for lower spine and cervical spine areas.   Also had epidural on nerves in my lower spine that helped to calm that area.  Still experiencing some pain but not as bad.   Especially in right leg, so doc is having me get another X-ray of my R hip since didn't get a view of that on the MRI that was done.  Doc thinks hip may be involved in pain down my right leg since PT seems to make it worse.  Had to increase pain meds a little at night due to right leg pain increasing.  But doing better overall in that I can stand up and walk around in the house.  Can't walk a long distance due to pain down right leg.  At least I don't need surgery at this point so I am fortunate.  Hope all goes well for you!

So sorry to hear that.  My leg pain was due to a blood clot found through an ultrasound.

One thing I have found out.  Nurses walk TOO fast in hallways.  One day, I tripped over my caine and went down.

Sorry to hear your in so much pain, what do they want to do to your back to correct the bent spine?  My husband has arthritis in his back but it isn't as bad as yours.

My med needs to be taken about 4 hours before there is no pain.  To do anything, I need to get up and take the med. first.

@ECBG I am SO glad that you have pain medicine, and are taking it as needed!😊 Chronic pain can take a physical and mental toll on us! I WHOLEHEARTEDLY believe things WILL get better for you!❤ In the meantime, I know your dear husband, son, and daughter-in-love are taking GREAT care of you, and that is a comforting thought!😁

That's a discussion for when I get there.  He may say spinal shots first.  His methid is less invasive.
