Last August, while out and about, I misjudged the height of a step I took---was alot taller than usual, and stepped down really hard on my foot and immediately felt like my spine had compressed--didn't fall and it didn't hurt at all, except I could feel that it wasn't right--is in my mid back. Went to my chiro who told me NOPE--you go get an xray before I adjust you--very responsible guy--and I did --there was no compression fracture so have been getting my chiro treatment ever since, Seemed to be ok until recently and especially these last couple days when it has been screaming at me--so made an appt with a spine dr--AND......holy cow!!! I called yesterday- Monday- and got an appt TODAY!!! Are you kidding me??? Usually takes 2 months or more for any appt and then I get told to go to the ER---plus--- being in the week of Thanksgiving no less??!! And THEN----this morning, my back aches crazy bad now---instead for feeling just fine, as is my MO when going to a dr. Should I buy a lottery ticket???? ![]()

Depending on the result from your doctor's appointment, I would suggest accupuncture for some relief. I have found it to be very successful as has my son who did not get the same results from his chiro ajustments. His bak goes out especially when he is under a lot of stress.

@wagirl , I am wondering why you were told to go to the ER since you got an appointment soon?
I hope you feel better soon. Back pain is no fun.

@wagirl I'm sorry you are in pain and hope the Dr. can give you some relief soon.
I have scolosis and have back pain too. It wears you out.
As to the lottery ticket, good luck. When I was 37 I got pregnant 10 years after I had a tubal ligation. Tubes weren't tied but cut and cauturized (sp) in two places. The Dr. told me to buy a lottery ticket, odds of winning were better than me getting pregnant after 10 years.
He was wrong. lol

@Somertime --I am not a fan of accupuncture--had that done before on another body part but then was dx with breast cancer and there were sooo many needles and pokes and jabs thru all that--I kind of developed a "thing" about needles even tho I know better. Also not sure Medicare will cover that. It did work when I thad it done before, so am not poo-pooing it at all.
