Does anyone have an OTC sleeping aid they would recommend?  I've been having a lot of problems falling asleep.

@fortune I do not know what OTC means but I cannot sleep at nights at all.

I am taking Ambien and even that now, it takes a long time to make me sleepy.

@fortune With my doc's ok, many years ago I began taking Melatonin. I now take the 5 mg dosage I get at Costco. Very helpful. Check with your doctor tho before taking anything.

Doxylamine succinate, Costco sleep aid is effective and cheap. Try melatonin.

I take a 3mg Melatonin tablet that I get at Trader Joe's.  I used to take .5mg, but I've needed more help in sleeping since Covid.

I've never found an OTC aid that was even minimally effective, certainly not melatonin.  I've found some exercise during the day to be the best solution

@Dinaki    Over the counter = non-prescription.

i take advil pm. i take one tab or if i feel really restless, i take two. take about 1 hr. before bed. Nyquill ZZ is ok, too.

i have to get up at 4:30am, for work that means going to bed at 9pm, for me. the advil pm helps me go to sleep, but not always staying asleep.
