Oh, I know she would!😃
Id much rather she become a member here than go on Facebook. Maybe when she's up to it, I'll try to get her to join.❤️
@cheriere That's sounds great ![]()

She probably won't be able to type for awhile though. Heck, she shops with the Q as much as I do lol.

@cheriere I got teary eyed reading your post! I truly believe prayers in numbers are always heard and if we believe in prayers, everyone should have someone praying for them.
I do hope she got some rest and you do as well. 💞

I can't say thank you enough.❤️❤️❤️
I truly appreciate and needed to hear your words of encouragement. I don't know why I'm so tired and stressed considering what she's had to endure.
It was her right wrist and forearm unfortunately. They said her wrist was broken and the forearm dislocated. So, they cart it, then manually tried to relocate her forearm into place. I had to pet on her throughout because the pain for her was almost unbearable! They gave her a lidocaine shot to numb it prior, but that was crazy painful for her too. She said it didn't numb that much either.
We're supposed to go back in two weeks for more X-rays to make sure the bone is healing properly, but she's already said she's not sure if she'll go back to him! After the procedure, she asked if he was going to send something in for her pain and he literally laughed and started to walk away, saying Tylenol should work! I stopped him and told him that she'd been suffering for the two weeks leading up to this appointment and there's NO WAY I'm gonna watch her hurt, getting zero sleep still! He ended up sending in three days worth if a very mild pain medicine. She was up all night! I just don't understand or know what to do. She's disheartened because she doesn't think the Dr cares about her. I'm gonna have to figure out something. She's so miserable.
@cheriere You're welcome Cheriere
! Its completely normal for you to feel exhausted from all of this- its a very traumatic and stressful experience, so your body and mind are processing it and feeling drained. Make sure to get some good sleep tonight. Maybe you could call a nurse at the hospital and ask for stronger painkillers? Maybe they can work something out since you're right, Tylenol might not be strong enough for the pain that your Mom is in and she needs her rest. You're doing really well in advocating for your Mom and I am hoping good thoughts for her and that she'll get some medicine to ease her pain during the initiial healing process. It hurts a lot to have bones reset and moved around before they're put in a cast- I remember the pain was pretty sharp and the bone breaks felt so strange when I broke bones as a kid.
The good news is that the break will heal and I think that you and your Mom will make it through this, I really do. She may need help washing her hair and getting dressed fro the time being and she won't be able to lift things with her arm for a while. You are a great daughter and such a caring lady, so she is in good hands with you and I know that you will do everything in your power to continue to get her the care she needs. Keep us posted, Cheriere whenever you feel like it and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your Mommy and I'm hoping for a speedy recovery ![]()

I feel exactly as you do about prayers in numbers. That's why we both have been so touched. I truly appreciate you.❤️
She's resting in her recliner and I'm going to stay close by. I think I'm ready for a nap myself.

I do feel completely drained. I think you're right too. It's just as much mentally exhausting as it is physically.
Two days before I took her to the ortho appointment , she wanted to go to the beauty shop and get her hair done lol. So, for another few days she'll be alright. Strangely enough though, they didn't give us ANY INSTRUCTIONS regarding the cat, like getting it wet or anything. I'm just assuming she's not supposed to.
Luckily, I bought some of those SCRUBZZ body washing sponge cloths the Q sells. So, I can at least help give her a quick bath with these until she feels like getting in the shower.
I didn't know you'd broken bones as a kid. I fractured the top of my foot as a kid. I was at my cousin's messing with his weight bench and a 50lb dumbbell fell on it. It instantly bruised from the top of my foot all the way through to the bottom. I had to take a pair of my shoes to some guy the dr recommended who rigged it up for me to always wear for almost a year! It never did heal right and still looks funny lol.
I really appreciate your making me feel better about things...really. Thank you.😊❤️
I think I'm gonna go in there and try to go to sleep since she's resting. At least I'll be able to hear her (hopefully) if she needs anything.

@cheriere Its totally normal for you to feel drained and rest is the best way to work through stressful times. Your Mom is our kind of girl- getting her hair done before a major ortho appointment ![]()
. You were so smart to get the SCRUBZZ towels- I saw those on QVC the other day and they had a hunky guy washing his arms after a work out on the demo video
. When I broke my wrist, I wasn't allowed to get it wet: I'd wrap a plastic grocery bag around it and hang my arm outside of the tub and wash my body with my other arm and wash my hair with one hand. You might want to have or help your mom wash up with SCRUBZZ and maybe wash her hair over the sink while she stands or sits in a chair or you can wash her hair with SCRUBZZ. She'll get through this, she definitely will
.
Yep, I broke 8 bones as a kid- I was a little daredevil and I did all of these playground stunts at school where I'd long jump as far as I could or jump from a high up fence or trip over a kickball while sprinting. Ooh the 50 pound weight on your foot must've been so painful! I dropped one of my 20 pound free weights on my foot in college and didn't break it, but my entire foot was black and blue for about 2 months.
Have a great rest of your night, Cheriere and I hope that you and your Mom have nice dreams and a great tomorrow ![]()

Oh my goodness! 8 broken bones, you were a daredevil lol!😃. Thanks for letting me know about keeping the cast dry in the shower. I know she won't be satisfied just using the SCRUBZZ. ❤️
