Re: ORTHOPEDIC VISIT FOR MOM

@cheriere  Pain killers are usually restricted for people with heart conditions, which you said she has.  I have high blood pressure and a family history of heart disease, and my doctor won't even let me take ibuprofen.  Hopefully what the doctor gave her and the Tylenol will help her with the pain.  I am restricted to max 3,000mg Tylenol a day (3 doses of 2 extra strength tablets of 500mg) when I need a pain killer.  That is the only pain killer I can have

@on the bay

Thank you for saying that.❤️❤️❤️

I couldn't agree with you more about being able to get a proper prescription too.  This is ridiculous!  Here, it seems that the doctors follow a certain script about claiming to not be allowed to prescribe pain medication!  I can understand that for people who are apt to abuse it or are not really injured.  That surely isn't the case with her and it's not only insulting, but inhumane, just as you said.

I'll have to speak with her family nurse practitioner I suppose.  But to tell you the truth, she's acted as if it's orthos job to give her the medication.  At least that what she said whenever it happened.  I don't know what kind of luck I'll have, but if it takes switching drs that's exactly what I'll do!  I'm NOT going to watch her have to try and suffer through this.  I can tell she's getting anxious about this too.😔

@cheriere   Sorry about your mom's and your pain.  I am happy to read no surgery.  Hope her recovery goes well.

Of course you are tired, stress causes body pain.  I hope you can get some rest.

You did good for your mom!

Thank you so much.  I really appreciate your saying that too.❤️❤️❤️

To ight we're eating pizza lol.  But tomorrow, I've got my work cut out for me.  Dad bought a really nice roast a few days ago and I can tell he's really wanting it fixed.  I'll get the kitchen cleaned early and try and get it out on early so it can slow cook.

I didn't know that about heart conditions.  She had surgery for AFib, but still takes a medication.  The pain has gotten so bad though, it's almost sent her into AFib a few times.  That's what scares me.

Hopefully no surgery, thankfully. She is very lucky to have you in her corner. Glad you spoke up to the orthopedic doctor for pain medicine.  Some of these specialists don't seem to pay attention to what  elderly people say. Good thing you were there Woman Happy

Thank you for saying that.  I really appreciate it.❤️❤️❤️

I'm so thankful to have you and my friends in my corner because I truly believe your prayers and well wishes is what made the difference in her not having to have surgery.  Im gonna do whatever it takes to make sure the drs listen to her and takes care of her needs.

@cheriere  I hope you and your Mom both are resting!   I know you have to be mentally exhausted..

Hopefully the pain medicine will help her pain and she can rest.  I'm glad you stopped the dr to get her some pain medicine.  I know she is comforted knowing you are there with her.
I am praying for you both🙏.  And I do know it's easier said then done but be sure to take care of you as well.  Sending gentle hugs💖

Re: ORTHOPEDIC VISIT FOR MOM

I just wanted to let everyone know how my mom reacted whenever I told her about all the prayers and well wishes from YOU, my forum friends.
She nearly cried and told me to be sure to thank you ALL.  She said she'd hoped to receive some healing prayers. However, I don't think she realized I'd posted about her here or that I had so many kind friends.  This really means a lot to her...and to me.
Thank you. ❤️❤️❤️

Re: ORTHOPEDIC VISIT FOR MOM

@2sisters

I can't tell you how much your kindness means to me right now.❤️. It's really been a tough two weeks for her and since she had it set and relocated, I know it's going to be worse for a little while.😔

I made sure she ate a little while ago.  Now, she's had her medicine and is resting in her recliner watching a movie.  I'm hoping she'll drift off to sleep for awhile.

It seems like she's up and down all night.

I told her about posting her Dr visit on here and all the prayers she'd received.  She nearly cried.  She knows dad and I have been praying for her, but was wondering if anyone else in the family had been.  When she found out about all of your prayers, it made her feel so good!  It was like a wave of calm actually washed over her.

I truly thank you.🙏❤️❤️❤️
